Printing tips
- Print at actual size (100%), not "fit to page", so the lines stay a usable size.
- It is laid out for US Letter paper and also fits A4.
- Turn on "background graphics" if the colors come out pale.
What is on this checklist
Clean it
- Turn the pump off at the breaker
- Open the air relief valve to release pressure
- Remove the lid and lift out the cartridge
- Hose each pleat top to bottom at an angle
- Soak in filter cleaner if it is greasy or scaly (follow the label)
- Rinse well and check the O-ring
- Lubricate the O-ring with a silicone lube
- Reassemble, open the air valve, prime and restart
Note the pressure
- Write down the clean pressure after restarting
- Clean again when it rises 8-10 psi above that
- Clean more often after storms, pollen and heavy use
Time for a new one?
- Pleats torn, flattened or crumbling
- End caps cracked
- Pressure climbs fast right after cleaning
- Water stays cloudy with good chemistry
- Most cartridges last 1-3 years
